ELLINA LASTNAME
Ellina achieved her Masters in Public Health from Boston University with a focus in Program Design, Implementation and Evaluation. Her interest in Pain-IDR stems from her fascination with the intersection of healthcare and technology, particularly in making this kind of care more accessible to all patients. In the next 5-10 years she aspires to contribute to significant advancements in healthcare access and equity.
RESEARCHERS
JOANNA LASTNAME
Joanna is currently a second-year Master of Science in Health Data Science graduate student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her interest in Pain-IDR originates from her wish to utilize data science to mitigate algorithmic bias existing in healthcare. In 5-10 years, she aspires to achieve a PhD degree in Biostatistics and become a data scientist in the healthcare industry. By integrating data science tools with public health knowledge, she hopes to facilitate prediction and decision-making in healthcare, and to make health services more accessible and effective for patient populations.
JINGE LASTNAME
Jinge is currently pursuing a Master’s in Health Data Science at Harvard University. Propelled by a personal experience — the untimely loss of his grandfather to undetected heart disease — Jinge’s interest in Pain-IDR is deeply rooted in his commitment to enhancing disease monitoring and diagnosis with his data science acumen. Over the next 5-10 years, Jinge aspires to become a senior data scientist in the healthcare field, utilizing his expertise to significantly enhance healthcare accessibility and foster greater equity in the medical field.

ELLIE LASTNAME
Ellie is Junior in High School. She helped us clean and process data that led to a publication in Frontiers in Pain Research.
HANNAH LASTNAME
Hannah is a Junior in High School. Her interest in graphic design helped us create a diagram in our Frontiers in Pain Research publication.
MELANIE FU
Melanie Fu is a medical student at University of Massachusetts. She was the founding Research Assistant in the Pain-IDR and helped create the original workflows and culture. What a wonderful experience it was working with Dr. Fu.
SPAULDING CHARLESTOWN CLINICAL STAFF
We have the best clinical staff and they are an essential part of our ability to treat and work with patients in our research studies.
